Susanna Reid Slams Celebrity Big Brother as Ella Rae Wise Storms Out in Tears

Things got properly emotional on Celebrity Big Brother last night – and not just for the housemates. Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid voiced what many viewers were probably thinking after watching the latest round of face-to-face nominations.
Chatting with co-hosts Richard Madeley and Melvin Odoom on the ITV morning show, Susanna admitted she couldn’t ever do it. “I would never do it because the idea of sitting next to someone and saying, ‘You’re the person I want out.’ It seems so unspeakably cruel,” she said, reported The Mirror.
And honestly, after watching what went down, you can’t blame her. The nominations got intense – like, full-on tears and storming out of the room intense. Ella Rae Wise was in absolute bits after being called out by JoJo Siwa, who suggested she might be looking for “drama or negativity”. Not long after that, Ella left the room in tears, followed by Danny Beard, who tried to comfort her and told her to “phase it out”.
But that wasn’t the end of it for Ella. Earlier in the episode, she’d already ended up in garden jail after breaking the rules by chatting with Angellica Bell. Two emotional meltdowns in one episode? Rough night.
Angellica and Danny weren’t the only ones struggling, though. Chris Hughes also broke down in the diary room – and he was in there for over an hour. The Love Island star felt like he was being accused of playing games for being close with JoJ,o and just couldn’t hold it in anymore.
“I’m exhausted in this house, to be honest. I think I’m too normal and lead a stress-free life,” he told Big Brother. “I hate toxic stuff in life. I hate toxic energy. It just brings you down… I don’t want to be emotional and as,d but sometimes you just can’t help it.”
Even Richard Madeley, who’s been on telly for decades, seemed a bit baffled by the drama, brushing it off with a blunt: “It’s only telly!” But Melvin chimed in asking, “Would you not be crying there?” to which Richard doubled down: “No… It’s just telly. Who cares?” Quite a few people care. And judging by the reactions, this season of CBB is hitting a bit harder than expected.
