Good Morning Britain Viewers Criticize Ranvir Singh’s “Annoying” Habit

Fans of Good Morning Britain have voiced their frustrations with Ranvir Singh’s hosting style on the ITV breakfast show. Stepping in alongside co-host Ed Balls on the morning of July 29, Singh’s tendency to “talk too much” has not gone unnoticed by viewers.

While some might see her outspoken nature as a sign of her dedication to her role, others were less impressed, urging her to “stop talking.” Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one viewer complained: “‘kin ‘ell. That shouty Ranvir’s quit shouting for a bit now. She’ll be at it again soon. #gmb.”

Another wrote: “#GMB Can someone please tell Ranvir to shut the f**k up. She loves the sound of her own voice #RanvirSingh.” A third chimed in, “Ranvir Singh has spoken more than the other three put together #gmb.”

“So here we go it’s the ‘Ranvir’ show! Ed is looking at her as if to say ‘Shall I just go’ ??? #GMB,” another viewer commented. Someone else added, “Ranvir really likes to talk,” while another declared, “Terrible start to this week’s GMB, useless Ed Balls and Ranvir. BBC for me all week.”

Singh has been filling in for regular presenters who are currently absent. Susanna Reid is taking a summer break, and Kate Garraway has been missing from her slot due to a family illness, told Daily Express.

Garraway, 57, took unexpected leave from the program to support her father, who is reportedly in critical condition following a suspected stroke and heart attack earlier this month. She made a swift departure from ITV studios on July 16 after receiving the distressing news about her dad, Gordon.

A source close to Garraway told the press, “Very sadly, Kate’s father collapsed earlier this week while staying, along with her mum and her brother, in Cornwall. It was incredibly frightening as he was found unconscious and immediately taken to hospital. It seems likely that he’s had a stroke and possibly a heart attack as well – doctors are still doing tests.”

The insider added, “He remains in hospital and is currently stable but, understandably, it’s given the whole family a terrible scare and they are praying he can recover.” As Singh continues to step in during her co-stars’ absences, it remains to be seen if she will address the viewer feedback and adjust her hosting style.
