Princess Beatrice Attends Royal Christmas After Changing Plans Due to Medical Advice
0Princess Beatrice made a last-minute change to her Christmas plans this year, opting to stay in the UK instead of traveling overseas after receiving medical advice, reported by the Independent. The royal, who is expecting her second child in early spring, had originally planned to spend the festive season with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s parents abroad. However, following advice not to travel long distances due to her pregnancy, Beatrice and Edoardo joined other members of the royal family at Sandringham for the Christmas Day celebrations.
The couple attended the Christmas morning service at St Mary Magdalene Church, where Beatrice looked elegant in a coat from The King’s Foundation collection, available at Net-A-Porter. The coat was part of a capsule collection created by students of the foundation’s modern artisan education programme, which trains emerging designers and makers to craft luxury and sustainable clothing.
Beatrice’s connection to The King’s Foundation runs deep. In November, she visited the Future Textiles exhibition at the Garrison Chapel, where she saw work from the programme’s students, further supporting the initiative aimed at fostering the next generation of designers.
While Beatrice was at Sandringham for the service, her father, the Duke of York, was notably absent. He has faced significant controversy surrounding his alleged ties to a Chinese spy, a matter that has affected his public appearances, according to PEOPLE.
Beatrice and Edoardo’s second child will be a sibling for their three-year-old daughter Sienna. The new arrival will also join Mr. Mapelli Mozzi’s son, eight-year-old Christopher Woolf, also known as Wolfie, from a previous relationship. This growing family continues to capture public interest as they share their joy in welcoming another child into their lives.
Princess Beatrice’s decision to stay close to home for the holidays reflects the importance of family and health, especially during this special time of year. Despite the change in plans, the royal couple was able to join the royal family at Sandringham and enjoy a festive season together.
