Prince Archie’s Lavish Fifth Birthday Bash: Celebrities Galore with Doria Ragland as the Only Family Attendee
1As Prince Harry prepares for a trip to the UK to celebrate the Invictus Games, his immediate focus is on the upcoming fifth birthday of his son, Prince Archie. The festivities are set to take place in Montecito, where the family resides. Last year’s birthday party for Archie boasted a star-studded guest list, and this year promises to maintain that glamorous trend.
The celebration comes just days before Prince Harry’s departure for London, closely following the pattern of last year when he rushed back to the US from his father’s Coronation to catch the tail end of Archie’s party. The event had sparked concerns last year about overshadowing the Coronation due to its high-profile attendees, told Express.
Among those rumored to be invited this year are Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, close friends of Harry and Meghan. While Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were also invited last year, they had other commitments. According to LA-based author Lisa Gache, who teaches children’s etiquette classes at the upscale Montecito Club, the guest list is likely to include other celebrity parents.
“It’s Oprah and Ellen but also Serena Williams pregnant with her second child and Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, whose daughter Daisy is a year younger than Archie. If there’s any celebrity with a child the same age, it’s safe to assume they’ll be invited,” Gache told The Telegraph.
Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who appeared in the couple’s tell-all Netflix series, is expected to be the only family member in attendance. A source highlighted Archie’s limited interaction with his royal relatives: “King Charles’ sadness” was noted regarding his infrequent meetings with Archie.
The party is expected to draw many of Archie’s friends and their parents, alongside local celebrities with children of a similar age. The menu will cater to various dietary needs, with stringent guidelines ensuring a gluten-free environment, regardless of any actual gluten intolerance among the guests.
For the adults, the offerings will be primarily health-conscious. “Lots of salads, and not much else,” revealed an insider. Reflecting Montecito’s community standards, alcohol is typically avoided at children’s parties. “Alcohol is frowned upon for kids’ parties in Montecito. The Duke and Duchess are conscious of mental health and raising kids in an appropriate manner, I doubt they would serve it,” added Gache.
While specific details of this year’s celebration remain under wraps, the preparations by Harry and Meghan indicate another memorable event for their son amidst the scenic luxury of Montecito.
