Alison Hammond Unleashes Her Naughtiest Side on Smart TV: Chaos, Laughter, and a Hint of Scanda

When Chris asked Alison if it was a bit of a conflict of interest for her to be hosting a show she’s also competing on, she didn’t shy away from it. “Well it’s a conflict isn’t it because I host the show,” she laughed – classic Alison, always up for a bit of honesty with a wink.

While she’s a familiar face on This Morning, Alison’s been popping up elsewhere lately, including on Rob Beckett’s Smart TV. The Sky Max show sees Alison going head-to-head with comedian Josh Widdicombe, leading two teams through rounds of TV trivia. Talking about her role on the show, Alison said: “It’s really good, it’s really funny, it’s really niche and it’s the naughtiest side of Alison Hammond. You know, on This Morning I can’t be too naughty can I? But on Smart TV I can be a bit naughtier, it’s chaos.” That’s right – Alison unleashed!

Of course, she’s come a long way since her early days in reality TV. Her first moment in the spotlight came in 2002 when she stepped into the Big Brother house. Not long after, she landed a gig as a reporter on This Morning, and by 2020, she was a full-on presenter, holding her own alongside names like Ben Shephard, Cat Deeley, and Dermot O’Leary.

She’s done a bit of everything since – guest spots on Loose Women, giving it her all on Strictly Come Dancing, and even taking on the kitchen on Celebrity MasterChef, where she managed a solid 10th place finish back in 2014.

And if you’re already missing her on screen, don’t worry – Alison fans won’t have to wait long. After The Great Celebrity Bake Off returned last weekend, she’s back again this Sunday (March 23) at 7.40 pm on Channel 4, joining co-host Noel Fielding for another round of baking mayhem.
