Woman arrested after shooting incident outside Rihanna’s Los Angeles home

A woman in her 30s has been arrested after a shooting incident that targeted the Los Angeles home of global pop star Rihanna. Authorities say the singer was inside the residence at the time the gunfire occurred.

According to officials from the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were called to the 9500 block of Heather Road in the Beverly Crest neighbourhood at around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday following reports of multiple gunshots. The upscale area is known for its luxury homes and celebrity residents.

Police say the gunfire appeared to come from a vehicle that had either stopped or was parked across the street from the property. Reports indicate that approximately 10 shots were fired toward the mansion.

At least one of the bullets struck the exterior wall of the home. Rihanna lives at the residence with her partner, rapper ASAP Rocky, and the couple’s five children. Authorities have not reported any injuries, and it appears that no one inside the home was harmed during the incident.

Investigators believe the suspect quickly fled the area after the shooting. According to reports, the person left the scene driving south on Coldwater Canyon Drive in a white Tesla.

After officers arrived at the location, they spoke with the reporting party and gathered information that helped them identify a possible suspect. Using the details provided, police tracked down the individual shortly afterwards.

A woman in her 30s was arrested without incident shortly thereafter. Authorities confirmed that the arrest was made peacefully and that the suspect did not resist.

During the arrest, officers also recovered a weapon that is believed to be connected to the shooting. Investigators are now working to determine the motive behind the incident and whether the suspect specifically targeted the property.

Police have not yet released the identity of the woman who was taken into custody, and it remains unclear whether she had any prior connection to the singer or her family.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives continue to gather evidence and review surveillance footage from the surrounding area. Officials are also examining the recovered weapon as part of the case.

The Beverly Crest neighbourhood, located in the hills above Los Angeles, is known for its quiet streets and high-profile residents. Incidents like this are rare in the area, which is typically considered one of the city’s more secure and private communities.

Authorities have not released additional details about potential charges, but the suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues.
