Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Ongoing Troubles Escalate After Photo Display at Louvre

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the disgraced former Duke of York, found himself at the center of another media storm following his recent arrest and ongoing police investigation.

On Thursday, just days after his humiliating arrest, the 66-year-old royal was taken into questioning by Thames Valley Police under suspicion of ‘misconduct in the public office.’ This incident came on the heels of multiple allegations, with 12 police forces currently investigating several issues linked to the Epstein files recently released by the U.S. Department of Justice.

On his birthday, Andrew was taken into police custody from his temporary residence in Norfolk, with a photographer capturing the now-infamous image of him leaving the estate in apparent panic. The photo quickly went viral, showing the former royal in distress.

In a surprising twist, just days later, Andrew’s image was displayed in Paris. Activists from the anti-billionaire group “Everyone Hates Elon” hung the photograph of the royal sitting in the back of a police car at the Louvre Museum on February 22. The photo, originally snapped by Reuters photographer Phil Noble on February 19, featured a framed image with the caption, “He’s sweating now,” referencing the headline from The Sun.

The phrase harkens back to the infamous 2019 Newsnight interview, in which Andrew, speaking with Emily Maitlis, said he couldn’t sweat due to a medical condition. The comment, widely mocked at the time, has since become a symbol of the royal’s ongoing scandal.

However, the Louvre staff removed the photo after just 15 minutes, prompting further controversy. The unusual and public display of the royal’s photo marks yet another chapter in Andrew’s ongoing legal and public relations troubles, with the scrutiny surrounding him showing no signs of letting up.
