Brazilian social media influencer Bianca Dias has died after suffering complications tied to a recent plastic surgery. She was 27.
Dias reportedly experienced shortness of breath while recovering at her family’s home near Sao Paulo when she suffered a pulmonary embolism, a serious condition that can occur after major cosmetic procedures. She was rushed to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save her, TMZ reported.
Her death was confirmed by close friend Giovanna Borges, who shared the news in an emotional Instagram story. “Bia had surgery, and in recovery at home, she had a pulmonary clot, had 2 seizures, and when she arrived at the hospital, she was no longer alive…..” she wrote on her Instagram story yesterday.
According to reports, Dias died just 18 days after her initial surgery. It remains unclear what specific procedure she underwent.
For her nearly 60,000 Instagram followers, Dias was known for sharing pieces of her daily life along with modeling and lifestyle content. Her feed captured everything from casual selfies to polished photoshoots, offering glimpses into her world. Her final post came on Dec. 18, when she shared a selfie taken inside a car in San Paulo.
In the hours following the announcement of her death, tributes began pouring in from friends and fellow creators who were clearly shaken by the sudden loss.
Massage therapist and close friend Jeff Carlos shared a message that reflected the depth of their bond. “Death is nothing at all,” he wrote. “Our bond has not been broken.”
Another friend and content creator, Patrícia Ganden, also posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. “I just know that we had beautiful moments, incredible conversations, may God comfort the family, I will remember with much affection and pride of you,” she wrote.
Local authorities have reportedly launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death, according to TMZ.
Dias’ passing has sparked renewed conversations online about the risks associated with cosmetic surgery, especially as more young people turn to such procedures.
