Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor ordered to request permission before returning to Royal Lodge

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly facing fresh humiliation after being forced to follow strict new rules as he moves out of Royal Lodge and relocates to Sandringham.

The disgraced former prince was told this week by the King to leave his 30-room Windsor home, Royal Lodge, following renewed outrage linked to his appearance in the latest Jeffrey Epstein files. Now, according to reports, Andrew will no longer be able to return to the Berkshire estate whenever he pleases.

Instead, he must make official arrangements through royal aides each time he needs to return to collect his belongings or access the property.

The Mirror reports Andrew left Royal Lodge in a hurry on Tuesday evening, leaving behind numerous possessions that had not yet been moved into storage. Sources claim he will need to return to retrieve the remaining items, but only after making a formal request and setting an appointment.

One insider said, “It’s the latest in a long line of indignities for him. “The King was not amused in the slightest that his brother was seen out riding in Windsor and driving around the estate, waving to passers by, while the Epstein scandal was reaching new depths over the last few days.

Andrew has left quite a lot of belongings behind, so he will have to return and collect them, but may only do so by strict appointment.” Andrew is expected to stay at Wood Farm, a modest residence on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, once used by his late father, Prince Philip.

The Duke of Edinburgh spent his final years there before dying aged 99 in April 2021. However, sources suggest Andrew’s longer-term move may be to Marsh Farm, a four-bedroom property on the Norfolk estate, though it could take at least two months before he can fully relocate.

Meanwhile, Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, is also said to be searching for a new home after reportedly being removed from Royal Lodge, where she lived alongside Andrew for two decades.

On Wednesday, a removals van was reportedly seen arriving at Royal Lodge. Around 130 miles away in Sandringham, activity was also observed near Wood Farm, including builders’ vans and a delivery of temporary toilets.

Andrew was last photographed publicly on Monday, riding a horse and later waving at passers-by while driving through Windsor Great Park.

The renewed pressure comes after Andrew and Ferguson were both mentioned repeatedly in the newly released Epstein files, published by the US Department of Justice on Friday. Among the material are allegations involving an exotic dancer who demanded $250,000 from Epstein, claiming she performed “various sex acts” involving Epstein and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The documents also include an email said to be from Ghislaine Maxwell, in which she confirmed that the infamous photograph showing Andrew with Virginia Giuffre was genuine. Maxwell reportedly said she was “stating for the record as fact” that she introduced the pair and that the photo was taken at her London home.

Andrew has long denied wrongdoing and previously disputed the authenticity of the image. The files also claim Andrew remained in frequent contact with Epstein, including a message in which he allegedly wrote: “Wish I was still a pet in your family.”

In 2022, Andrew paid millions to settle a civil case brought by Giuffre, a woman he still claims he never met. He continues to deny all allegations.
