Diddy’s employees say they aren’t being paid while he’s in jail
Share0Employees working for Sean “Diddy” Combs are raising concerns that they have not been paid while the music mogul remains behind bars in New Jersey, according to reports. The claims have added another layer of controversy to Combs’ ongoing legal troubles, as some staff members and attorneys allegedly wait for compensation months after work was completed.
Sources cited by TMZ say Combs’ finances are currently being overseen by Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group, which is reportedly closely monitoring his spending. Under that arrangement, payments for legal services and staff expenses are allegedly subject to review before being approved.

According to the report, some attorneys handling Combs’ civil lawsuits, along with other employees, have not received payment. The situation has reportedly become tense enough that at least one staffer has quit as a result of the delays.

Combs’ representative, Juda Engelmayer, firmly denied the allegations. Speaking to TMZ, she said, “People, personnel, and attorneys are all being paid, and no one is leaving.”
She added that Combs remains in control of his finances despite being incarcerated. “Sean Combs controls his own finances,” Engelmayer said. “Everyone gets paid for their work once it’s completed and confirmed, after routine review.”
Combs’ family members must follow the same process when it comes to expenses. If they exceed their approved budgets, they are reportedly required to submit invoices to Tri Star for reimbursement, which are not always approved.

One example cited involved a family dinner in New York City the night before Combs was sentenced. According to the report, Combs wanted his family to gather for the meal, but the invoice initially submitted to Tri Star was declined. The person who covered the cost was later reimbursed after further review.
Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison, with credit for time served, after being found guilty in October of transporting individuals for prostitution. Since then, scrutiny of his financial and professional relationships has intensified.

While some of Combs’ employees allegedly wait on overdue payments, singer Ray J weighed in on a lighter note while reflecting on not being included in Combs’ infamous parties. “I’m like yo, [I] ain’t ever got invited to the ‘Freak-Offs, and that’s when it hit me, I’m ugly,” the “Sexy Can I” artist said.
“It hit me that I’m unattractive.” As Combs serves his sentence, questions surrounding his finances, management structure, and professional obligations continue to draw public attention.
