US First Lady Melania Trump Announces Global Release of Film “MELANIA”

First lady Melania Trump is giving an exclusive first look at her upcoming theatrical film MELANIA, a 104-minute project set for worldwide release on January 30, 2026. The film will debut in theaters across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates, marking one of the most ambitious global releases tied to a modern first lady. Amazon will also roll out a companion documentary series in the months that follow.

“History is set in motion during the 20 days of my life prior to the U.S. Presidential Inauguration,” “For the first time, global audiences are invited into theaters to witness this pivotal chapter unfold, a private, unfiltered look as I navigate family, business, and philanthropy on my remarkable journey to becoming First Lady of the United States of America.”

It opens with Trump entering the U.S. Capitol rotunda ahead of President Donald Trump’s second inauguration. Wearing her now-iconic inauguration outfit, she looks into the camera and says, “Here we go again.”

The trailer moves between scenes from the inauguration, moments at Mar-a-Lago, behind-the-scenes footage featuring her son Barron Trump and her father, and sweeping visuals of Air Force One and the presidential seal. The iconic MGM lion appears before cutting to a scene where President Trump rehearses remarks at a podium.

“My proudest legacy will be that of peacemaker,” President Trump says, before Melania interjects, “Peacemaker and unifier.”

Additional footage shows the first lady arriving in black stiletto boots, standing in the East Wing residence in her white-and-black inaugural ball gown, and working closely with staff. At one point, she asks a security agent, “Is it safe?” The reply follows: “It is safe,” as sirens sound and a motorcade moves through a city.

“20 days to become first lady of the United States,” the trailer states.

“Everyone wants to know,” Melania Trump says. “So here it is.”

The film concludes with her calling “Mr. President” to say “congratulations.” When he asks, “Did you watch it?” she responds, “I did not. Yeah, I will see it on the news.”

Trump said the story “has never been told,” adding that the subject matter demanded “the highest cinematic standard.” She emphasized, “The 20 days of my life, preceding the U.S. Presidential inauguration, constitute a rare and defining moment.”

Fox News Digital reported that Trump was involved “in every aspect” of the film, from creative direction to production and marketing. Amazon and MGM acquired the rights for $40 million, the largest documentary deal in history, following negotiations led by her advisor Marc Beckman, who said Amazon “checked all the boxes we were looking for.”
