Bad Bunny slips and falls onstage in Mexico and carries on like nothing happened
Bad Bunny proved that even a stumble cannot slow him down. During a concert in Mexico on Wednesday, the global music star took a brief fall onstage and turned the unexpected moment into yet another reminder of why fans love him.
In videos shared widely on social media, the singer, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is seen walking across the stage while performing his song “Efecto.” As he moves toward the opposite side, he appears to lose his footing and slips, falling backward onto the stage and landing on his backside. The moment drew gasps and cheers from the crowd, but the energy in the venue never dipped.

Rather than rushing back to his feet, Bad Bunny took a few seconds to sit on the stage, seemingly collecting himself. Fans continued singing along to the track, carrying the moment with him. Moments later, he stood up, jumped back into the performance, and even gave a shoutout to the crowd before carrying on as if nothing had happened.
The brief onstage mishap comes just two months before Bad Bunny is set to appear on one of the biggest platforms in entertainment, the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show. The performance will mark a major U.S. appearance for the artist, especially given his recent stance on touring in the country.
Back in September, Bad Bunny explained why he chose not to tour the U.S. on his current Debí Tirar Más Fotos tour. The decision, he said, had nothing to do with resentment toward American audiences. “There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate — I’ve performed there many times,” he said. He then addressed a serious concern for his fans: “But there was the issue of — like, f—ing ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”
That same concern was referenced when he announced his Super Bowl appearance. Writing on X, he explained his decision by saying, “I’ve been thinking about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I’ll do just one date in the United States.”
Despite his massive global popularity, the Super Bowl announcement sparked criticism from some conservative figures, including President Donald Trump, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, and House Speaker Mike Johnson. Bad Bunny, however, chose humor over confrontation.

While hosting Saturday Night Live, he addressed the backlash directly, telling the audience, “I’m very happy, and I think everyone is happy about it. Even Fox News.” The show then played an edited montage of cable news clips stitched together to say, “Bad Bunny is my favorite musician and he should be the next president.”
He later spoke directly to “Latinos and Latinas across the world, and here, in the United States,” closing with a pointed message: “And if you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn.” From slipping onstage to commanding national conversations, Bad Bunny continues to move forward without missing a beat.
