Lana Del Rey Says Nose Changed From Filler, Not Surgery: “Never Been Under the Knife”

Lana Del Rey has finally addressed long-running rumors about her appearance, making it clear she has never had plastic surgery. The 40-year-old singer, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, set the record straight on Tuesday, 23 September, after fans reignited speculation online.

It started when she responded to an Instagram post about her 2008 Kill Kill EP, which she released under the name Lizzy Grant. The post read, “Lizzy Grant u will never be forgotten,” and Del Rey jumped into the comments with, “Ugh she never went anywhere, no more of that”, reported PEOPLE.

Her reply was quickly picked up by fan accounts, sparking fresh chatter about how her look has changed over the years. One fan commented, “Her natural nose was so perf,” which led Del Rey to respond directly. She wrote, “Still never even been under the knife or anesthesia in my life for the 15th year in a row!!” She explained that a doctor once gave her a quick filler procedure that “built up the bridge of [her] nose,” which altered its appearance without surgery.

Her comments put to rest years of speculation, but she did not stop there. The Grammy winner also showed she is focused firmly on her music and what’s next.

Recently spotted out in Beverly Hills, Del Rey spoke with TMZ about her love of live performances, particularly festivals. She described Coachella, which she headlined last year, as one of her favourites. She also mentioned Stagecoach, the country music event held on the same Indio, California, grounds, saying she enjoyed the atmosphere there just as much.

Looking ahead to Coachella’s future, she praised Justin Bieber, who is set to headline the festival for the first time in 2026. “It’s going to be amazing,” she told TMZ, showing her support for the Canadian star.

Bieber confirmed his slot by sharing the 2026 lineup on X, which revealed he will headline alongside Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, and Anyma.

While Lana Del Rey continues to be candid about her past and the constant curiosity surrounding her image, she is clearly more excited about the stages still to come.
