Meghan Markle Appears as an ‘Appendage’ Next to Prince Harry, Experts Suggest

Royal experts believe that Meghan Markle often seems like an “appendage” when attending tours and engagements alongside Prince Harry. Ingrid Seward, a prominent royal commentator, recently shared her insights into the Sussexes’ evolving strategy in an interview with GBN’s Nana Akua.

Seward suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan may have adopted a new approach, choosing to focus on solo outings rather than attending events together. “I think what they’re doing or being advised to do is to do their own thing,” she explained.

When discussing Meghan Markle’s role during their joint appearances, Seward remarked that Meghan often appears as an “appendage” to Prince Harry. She highlighted how Harry tends to shine more during solo engagements. For example, during his recent trips, which were described as “stunningly successful,” Meghan was notably absent. Seward suggested this might be intentional, as Harry seems to perform best on his own.

“There’s no point in him taking Meghan to Lesotho,” she added. Seward believes this solo approach plays to Harry’s strengths, particularly his work with children and disadvantaged communities. “Harry, or maybe his advisers, have said to him, you need to raise your own profile by doing what you do best,” she said. “He’s always been brilliant at that.”

She further commented on Harry’s public speaking skills, noting that he can be quite eloquent when delivering talks. However, Seward questioned the purpose of his recent Lesotho trip, speculating that he may have been raising awareness for the charity he supports. She suggested that Harry’s solo appearances allow him to keep the focus on his charitable efforts, rather than drawing attention to Meghan and what she’s wearing, which often becomes the subject of public fascination.

Seward’s insights offer a glimpse into the potential reasoning behind the Sussexes’ shift towards separate engagements, with Harry seemingly stepping into a more independent role while Meghan takes a backseat during some of his high-profile activities.
