Lorraine Kelly’s Co-Star Brought to Tears Live on Air as Host Celebrates Major Milestone

Lorraine Kelly was left deeply emotional during Wednesday’s episode of Lorraine as she celebrated an incredible milestone—40 years of presenting on ITV. The show took a nostalgic look back at her four-decade career, filled with surprise appearances from special guests who have been part of her journey.

The mood on set turned particularly poignant when the programme connected with entertainment correspondent Ross King, live from Los Angeles. A touching video played, showing Ross’s first appearance on Lorraine’s show nearly two decades ago. With a humorous nod to time passing, Ross quipped, “Wow, that was nearly 20 pounds ago for me! One of us hasn’t changed, and it is not me!”

As the conversation continued, Ross became reflective, expressing his gratitude to Lorraine for her kindness and support during his early days in American television. “I was really nervous that day,” he shared. “But you were just so lovely. You made it all very easy, as you do with all of your guests.”

Fighting back tears, Ross reminisced about the close bond he and Lorraine have shared over the years, filled with both professional and personal moments. “I feel so lucky to have done TV with you, to have done radio with you, to then nights out… I’ve stayed with you and the family,” Ross said, his voice cracking with emotion. “To have spent some really lovely, precious moments with you. I want to thank you so much for all of those. You’re a very special lady, you mean a lot to me, you know that.”

Lorraine, clearly moved by Ross’s heartfelt words, turned to co-hosts Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard, and shared, “We’re all pals! That’s why it’s such a joy to come into work, it really is,” The Mirror reported.

But Ross wasn’t the only one to shower Lorraine with praise. ITV’s Andi Peters also opened up about how much she had influenced his career. “I want to say thank you,” Andi said, recalling his younger days. “When I was 17 years old, I used to sit watching TVAM, and that was one of the reasons I genuinely wanted to get into television.”

“For me, being on your show every day is a privilege,” Andi added, “It’s something I always thought about when I was young, so thank you.” Lorraine, clearly touched by his words, beamed as she praised Andi, calling him a joy to work with.
