Florida Judge Drops Bombshell on Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s Divorce

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce has taken an unexpected turn, with a Florida judge making shocking statements about the sudden end of their marriage. After months of legal wrangling, the Game of Thrones star and Cake by the Ocean singer finally reached a divorce settlement, finalizing the details of their joint assets and custody of their children.

The couple, who were married for four years, split in September 2023 when Jonas filed for divorce in a Florida court. After a year of intense legal proceedings, Judge Gina Beovides made a surprising declaration that the couple’s marriage was “irretrievably broken.”

In her shocking comments, Judge Beovides stated that the divorce agreement was crafted with the best interests of their family in mind. However, despite the ruling, neither Jonas nor Turner has publicly disclosed a specific reason for their separation.

In their initial joint statement on Instagram, the pair wrote, “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision, and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

The drama escalated when Turner sued Jonas, accusing him of withholding their children’s passports, preventing them from returning to the U.K. with their mother. According to legal documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Turner also revealed she learned of the divorce filing “through the media.”

Reports suggest that the breakdown of their marriage occurred “very suddenly” following “an argument” on Jonas’s 34th birthday.

Jonas and Turner, who tied the knot in a whirlwind Las Vegas ceremony on May 1, 2019, are now focusing on co-parenting their children as they move forward separately.
