Meghan Markle Set to Return to the UK with Harry and the Kids on Upcoming Trip

Meghan Markle could be returning to the UK for the first time since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, as sources reveal she and Prince Harry, along with their children Archie and Lilibet, have been invited to spend Christmas with Harry’s uncle, Charles Spencer, at Althorp.

According to The Express, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have received an invitation from Charles Spencer to join him at his family estate for the festive season. If they accept, it would mark Meghan’s first trip to the UK since September 2022. “Charles Spencer has invited Harry, Meghan, and the children to Althorp this Christmas.

It’s far too early to say whether they will take him up on it, but the offer is there if they want it,” a source revealed. While there hasn’t been an invitation to Sandringham, where the royal family traditionally gathers, the source suggested that it’s not entirely off the table.

“There hasn’t been an invitation extended to Sandringham just yet, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be one forthcoming,” they added. However, they noted it’s unlikely that the Sussexes would accept, even if one were offered. This development comes after Meghan’s close ally and royal commentator, Omid Scobie, previously claimed that Meghan “never felt at home” in the UK and had no desire to return. Scobie had remarked that she “never wants to set foot again in England.”

With Christmas fast approaching, it remains to be seen whether Meghan and Harry will take up Charles Spencer’s invitation, but their decision will undoubtedly spark further interest in their ongoing relationship with the royal family.
