GMB’s Laura Tobin Takes a Break for Vacation, Leaving Viewers with a Cheeky Farewell
0Good Morning Britain’s beloved weather presenter, Laura Tobin, has announced she’s taking a well-deserved break from her duties on the ITV program to enjoy some time off.
During Tuesday’s show, hosts Kate Garraway and Sean Fletcher turned to Laura for the week’s weather forecast. As Kate lamented the seemingly premature end of summer, Laura cheerfully revealed that she wasn’t too concerned, as she had plans to escape to sunnier destinations, according to the Mirror.
Kate shared, “I was trying to wear everything summery quickly before it has to go back in the suitcase under the bed.” Laura, clearly in high spirits, responded, “You know what Kate? I actually don’t care because I’m going on holiday tomorrow.”
Kate appeared surprised by Laura’s candid remark, while Sean playfully suggested that viewers were catching a glimpse of a more carefree side of Laura. Kate quipped, “Ah, right, brilliant. The veil, the mask dropped then, didn’t it?!” Laura laughed, reassuring the audience that while the UK might be facing rain, she would be soaking up the sun elsewhere.
When Kate asked if her destination was overseas, Laura teased, “I’m going to a warm place. For the next 10 days, it’s going to rain here, sorry about that.” She added with a playful tone, “Isn’t it crazy, it’s almost like I knew!” The light-hearted exchange between the presenters added to the fun atmosphere of the show.
As Laura prepares to enjoy her holiday, it remains unclear who will step in to cover her weather-presenting duties during her absence. Meanwhile, Tuesday’s episode also saw Sean Fletcher filling in for regular host Richard Madeley, who was absent due to illness.
Kate informed viewers that Richard was “poorly,” and Sean stepped up to co-present alongside her, much to the delight of fans. Many viewers expressed their enthusiasm for Sean, with some even suggesting that he should become a permanent fixture on the show. With Laura off to enjoy some well-deserved sunshine, viewers will be eagerly awaiting her return, while appreciating the temporary shake-up in the Good Morning Britain lineup.
