Heartbroken Prince Harry ready to get out of UK, ‘very very’ deep division with King Charles

Prince Harry is likely experiencing profound sadness as he prepares to leave the UK without meeting his father, King Charles, or his brother, Prince William. Despite Harry’s brief return to London for a service of thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the monarch would not be meeting with him.

Adding to the emotional toll, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles would bestow a military honor upon Prince William, an honor previously expected to go to Harry. Prince William has now assumed the role of colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corps, the regiment Harry served with during his deployment in Afghanistan.

Royal expert and author Tom Quinn exclusively told The Mirror: “The senior royals “knew” that the announcement would “really hurt” Harry, before revealing that “he is said to have been in tears when he heard”.  He added: “But they have decided the gloves are off and that Harry needs to realize that when you betray the family, you don’t just escape the things you hated doing as a working royal. You also lose the things you loved.”

Reports suggest that Harry was emotional upon learning of King Charles’s decision to grant this new honor to his older brother. The news was yet another indication of the widening rift between Harry and the rest of the royal family.

While Harry was in London, Prince William was seen smiling and in high spirits as he visited sunny Cornwall for two royal engagements in Newquay and the Isles of Scilly. Queen Camilla, meanwhile, met with former TV newsreader Angela Rippon at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Brooke, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys, and mules.

King Charles and Queen Camilla appeared in good spirits as they hosted guests at a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Fellow working royals, including Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Edward and Sophie, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, were also present at the event.

It comes after commentator Michael Cole gave insights into the new development citing divisions between Prince Harry and the Royal Family are now “very, very deep”. He told GB News: “The fact that the King has not found time during the three days that his younger son has been in London to see him is a definite right royal flea in the ear for Prince Harry. “The division between the California hilltop Camelot and the British Royal Family, getting on with the job, is now very, very deep. The divisions are stark…and between indeed the Spencer family and the Windsors.”

Despite the tensions and emotional distance, Harry’s appearance at St. Paul’s Cathedral highlighted the importance of the Invictus Games to him. The event, which he founded in 2014, continues to hold significant personal meaning for him and remains a key part of his charitable efforts.

As Prince Harry departs the UK, the strained relationship between him and his family remains evident. His absence from family engagements and the decision by King Charles to confer the military honor upon Prince William underscore the complex dynamics and emotional challenges the royal family continues to navigate.
