Tragic eBike Accident Claims Young Life 17-Year-Old Marcus Beck Remembered

In a heartrending incident on the A941 Lossiemouth to Elgin road, 17-year-old Marcus Beck lost his life in an eBike collision that also claimed the life of another teenager. The accident, involving multiple vehicles, occurred at the junction with the B9135 in Moray.

The tragedy unfolded on Monday evening around 8pm, involving a Surron eBike carrying Marcus and a 16-year-old friend, along with a blue Vauxhall Mokka, a red Renault Clio, a black Vauxhall Corsa, and a white VW Golf, by “The Mirror

Both teenagers were pronounced deceased at the scene, leaving communities and families in mourning. The eBike’s 14-year-old driver sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving care at Dr. Gray’s Hospital in Elgin, with his condition reported as stable.

According to “BBC” The Mokka’s 54-year-old driver also required hospital treatment but has since been released. Fortunately, there were no further injuries reported among the other involved parties.

The loss of Marcus has deeply affected his family, who described him as a vibrant young man with a love for life and companionship. His absence will be profoundly felt by both his family and his wide circle of friends. In their time of grief, the family has requested privacy as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

Following the accident, the road was temporarily closed to allow for detailed investigations, reopening around 11 am the following day.

Sergeant Iain Nicholson of Police Scotland conveyed his condolences to the families and friends of the deceased, acknowledging the broader impact on the community during this distressing period. The ongoing investigation seeks further information, appealing to witnesses or anyone with relevant dash-cam footage to come forward and assist in piecing together the events leading to this tragic outcome.
