Kate Middleton Surprised as Wheelchair Rugby Player Playfully Ticks Her Waist from Behind

During a recent official royal visit, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales and patron of the Rugby Football League, was pleasantly surprised by a young boy from the wheelchair rugby squad. The unexpected moment occurred at the Allam Sports Centre in Hull, northern England, where Kate aimed to raise awareness of disability sports.

According to the Daily Mail, the Princess of Wales brought up the bandages while chatting with an athlete before hitting the court. In a playful moment, a young boy called out “boo!” and tickled the senior royal’s waist from behind, leaving Kate momentarily stunned. However, she quickly burst into laughter, turned around to identify the young prankster, and shook hands with him.

During her visit, Kate also joined a training session with the World Cup-winning English team, cheering enthusiastically as her team scored against their rivals. For the occasion, she traded her recent formal attire for a more appropriate tracksuit and polo shirt.

Kate appeared to be nursing an injury to her hand, which she had sustained earlier in the month while trampolining with her children at Windsor, as her hand remained wrapped in bandages. She candidly expressed her concern about her finger to the team before participating, saying, “I’m worried about my finger, but willing to try.”

English coach Tom Coyd was impressed with Kate’s performance, stating, “She took to maneuvering the chair really quickly. I’m not just saying this because it’s her, but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen anyone score a conversion on their first attempt. She was a natural and blew me away, to be honest.”

Kate has a history of displaying her athleticism and actively participates in various sports during her royal engagements. She and Prince William are known for their competitive spirit, as Kate humorously mentioned during a joint appearance on Mike Tindall’s podcast, ‘The Good, The Bad & the Rugby.’ She shared that they often don’t finish tennis matches due to their friendly rivalry, trying to “out-mental” each other. When asked if their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have inherited this trait, Princess Anne chimed in, “Just a little bit, I think.”
